Imari Benki - Traditional Japanese Toilet Surround.
Quite different from the plain, white porcelain "squat toilets" found in Japan these days. This elegantly hand painted piece would have been a luxury item in a wealthy household during the Edo and Meiji Eras.
These are rarely seen (or used!) nowdays and would make a great outdoor planter or water feature.
